Youth Action Team
Youth are responsible for the age range 5-25, and one word that summarises what we want to achieve at the start of this 3 year plan is COOPERATE.
We aim to recognise each youth ministry's forte and link them up, to help people move from Seeking to Faith, - Community to Core in the life of the Church. We'll try to do this by training our leaders, sharing our programmes, equipment & events much more, and linking more kids with our 'core' activities. We see our youth worker and leaders in charge as pivotal in delivering this. Our youth worker will focus on supporting individuals in school years 8-14, steering the training of our leaders, building links for us with the neighbourhood and wider Church, and delivering a new summer programme.
To achieve this, we aim to provide the following:
- Worship Kids and youth worship 'events'.
- Fellowship Shared youth trips such as MAD & Summer Madness for younger & older teens, shared equipment and programme.
- Discipleship Bible reading campaign (we'll try to measur ethe outcomes) more into youth fellowship groups.
- Evangelism Identify new local outreach oppertunities, sign up campaign for PCI teams, JAM, J-Crew, AND overseas mission trips with our Mission Action Team.
- Service Help kids and teens discover their gifts, serve/volunteer in Church (e.g. OJ's), and develop a Christian approach to citizenship.
