Once again I hope to collect toilet soap, long life electric light bulbs, household gloves, single bed sheets and pillowcases (any colour, new or surplus to your requirements) and DOUBLE/KING SIZE DUVET COVERS [these are taken apart to make sheets]. Thanks to your generosity 27 boxes of goods have been sent, along with money for bed covers and football boots, to the remote David Gordon Memorial Hospital in Malawi where Dr Lyn Dowds and Sister Una Brownlie are working on behalf of our Overseas Board. 6. 4U2: Meeting. If you are free on TUESDAY 7TH FEBRUARY at 7.30pm, please join with those who are interested in disability matters to discuss and agree plans for this year. You would be very welcome and your attendance would be most encouraging. So, what about it? See you in Room 6?

8. MOB - Tuesday 7th February 7.30pm Afghanistan : "A Long Way From Home" - Come along and hear the story of a soldier’s life in a foreign land. Why not invite a member of your family, a friend or colleague, there will be the usual food, friendship and worship, everyone will be made most welcome.
9. Want to dig deeper into God’s word? The next men’s PUP (Precept Upon Precept) Bible study on Joshua starts on Thursday 9 Feb at 7.30pm at the church & will meet fortnightly until Thursday 3 May. 10. Church Weekend: Some spaces still available on the church weekend (23-25 March), including a few family rooms. Please speak to a member of the committee as soon as possible if interested ~ Craig Blair, Coralie Gibson, David Sproule or Gary Steenson. Also if you fancy bringing your caravan, staying off-site or coming to the weekend for the Saturday only, come and speak to us.
11. The next Friday night prayer meeting will be on 10 February 9.30-11.00 pm at 30 Marina Park.
12. There will be a special offering taken at the PW service next Sunday for the work overseas and at home. Gift Aid envelopes are available today.
The next meeting of PW will be on 14 Feb, when Rev Jacqui Hartsmith-Foy will be talking about the work of PW in the congregation of Torre-del-Mar in Spain.
13. Advance Notice. The church AGM will be on Wednesday 7 March. Please put the date in your diary & plan to attend.
14. For information - there will be NO Quiet Hour on 15 Feb. From 22 February (Ash Wednesday) and each Wednesday through Lent there will be a Quiet Hour in the church for reflection & meditation to help us prepare for Easter.
WIDER CHURCH
15. WAAKISA would like us to send hand knitted blankets for their babies. If you could knit squares we will sew them up to make blankets. For a pattern and further details please contact Maureen Bunting, or the Church Office.
16. There will be a fund raising concert for Waakisa Ministries in the church on Saturday 11 February at 7.30 pm by Belfast Community Gospel Choir. Tickets £10 are available in the Church Office, or phone Valerie - 07710008146.
